‘A Setting for All Children’

I would like to offer a warm welcome to Lillian de Lissa Nursery School, a very active and thriving local authority setting close to Birmingham City Centre.
Although funding for Nursery Schools has been severely cut we feel very strongly that Early Years Education is vitally important to all families and children so continue to provide high quality learning and development experiences to all of our children.

Children are at the centre of all we do here and it is our goal to provide the most appropriate opportunities for each of them. This means that creativity flows freely and we welcome many different styles of teaching and learning to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. We believe in partnerships and work closely with parents and the local community to achieve what is best for all of our families. If at any time you want to make an appointment to discuss an issue or just chat about your child please don’t hesitate in doing so.

Our website will introduce you to our staff team, school information, events and our many varied ways of working but please contact us if you need any more details.

Thank you for visiting us.

Federation of 12 Birmingham Nursery Schools

We are now part of the Birmingham Federation of Maintained Nursery Schools along with 11 other nursery schools in the city.
What does this mean?
The 12 schools have worked independently, but with the same child centred ethos for many years to provide quality education and early childhood services in our region. We will continue to run locally as we do now, but have one executive Governing Body with local committees for each school. Our aim is to work even more closely together to continue to provide excellent nursery education and services.
