September 2019 – A New School Year

September 2019 – A New School Year

We are very happy to be back and welcome returners, alongside new children and families into our school.

You may notice some changes. It may be that your key worker has moved their group spot, or that people are missing. Mrs. Roberts our deputy head teacher is on maternity leave and has a new baby girl to spend time with. Mrs. Dickinson retired at the end of the summer term and will be greatly missed. Also, we have a new member of staff Mr. Stewart. He is an experienced teacher who will be overseeing the 2,3 & 4 year olds and working as an essential part of our team.

Being part of Birmingham’s Nursery School Federation, which is a group of 12 like-minded Nursery Schools that have been working together, we took part in a group training day on the first day of school. Over 300 staff members met to be trained on some of the most important safe guarding elements that are essential in our field of work, and also to have a chat and get to know each other. This was a very interesting and valuable day for all and left us feeling very positive about the early years provision we specialize in.

We are very much looking forward to the teaching and learning possibilities that are open to us this coming year whilst working with our new cohort of children and families.
