Alium Investigation & Observational Drawing

Alium Investigation & Observational Drawing

Today the children had the opportunity to have a very close look at some Alium flowers. Initially, the long stalks inspired the children to swing them around and poke each other, but then the focus changed and came upon the star, ‘firework’ seed pods. They were picked and used as tickling sticks and as sweeping brooms. Some children chose to draw them and others lined up the pieces and arranged them on a sheet of paper.
