Curiouser and Curiouser

Curiouser and Curiouser

‘Curiouser and Curiouser’ is a quote by Lewis Carroll from the book Alice in Wonderland.  She means that the land seems stranger every time she finds out something new.

We want our children to be curious about the world, have interest in what is around them and explore how, and why things work. This is why we provide ‘provocations’ which are materials and objects that encourage the children to investigate, play and get to know how things feel, smell, respond etc.

Today some fascination was shown in the sunflower heads that were in school. The children felt the different parts of the flower first and then gradually pulled them apart, noticing the difference between the petals, the stalk and the seeds.IMG_3071 IMG_3083 IMG_3087 IMG_3090
