Creativity and Child Development

Creativity and Child Development

Creativity can be a huge part of child development and includes the whole curriculum, not just the arts. That is why we enable children with opportunities to explore and share their thoughts, ideas and feelings through a variety of mediums and formats everyday in our nursery school. We are very aware of the physicality needed for muscle development at this stage:- fine and gross motor skills, coordination, spatial awareness etc, so to prepare the children for writing and other skills needed in life.

Creativity is at the heart of our educational practice so each day we provide a wide range of considered provocations to allow children’s skills and interest to emerge. With support from our staff team the children can thrive, find out about themselves and discover many opportunities for learning. What better way for a child to learn then to do it through play, exploration and investigation!
