Gloop

Gloop

As part of our ‘Continuous Provision’ children always have access to playdough and clay to help develop and build the muscles in the hands and arms. We have recently been exploring the use of all of our senses so last week we began to make sensory gloop. This is a squidgy, sloppy, rubbery consistency which is attractive and has a smell – starting with cinnamon, ginger.
This activity was very popular last week and involved the use of new vocabulary and descriptive words. It also encouraged imaginary role play and storytelling amongst other skill development.

This project will continue next week by using new smell, colours and additions to the gloop.
